Gator's Cafe & Saloon (Treasure Island, FL)

About the bar (from official website):

Gators is famous for being the longest waterfront bar in the World, with over 600 feet of unobstructed views of John's Pass and Boardwalk! Enjoy fresh food and great drinks while watching the boats pass by or a beautiful sunset in the evening. Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night menus, there is something for everyone. Our Cuban has been around just as long as we have and perfection has been achieved!

Did we mention air- conditioning? Yes, the downstairs now offers A/C to cool off during those hot summer months! With the main bar remodeled and the tent bar now offering both indoor and outdoor seating Gators is the premier spot to watch your favorite sports team! And we mean ANY sports team. Don't be fooled by the name, just because we are huge (and I mean huge) Gators fans, we still enjoy the others just as much. Request your favorite game on one of our many TV's throughout Gators!

Venture upstairs to the Saloon Bar and The Swamp. There are plenty of tables to eat and even more TV's to enjoy! The full mahogany bar gives a unique and different feel from the downstairs. Completely air-conditioned but still a great view of the pass! Don't forget to wander around to enjoy years and years of sports memorabilia from coaches, players and fans. Autographed pictures, jersey's, helmets and more is the focal point of the room and shows the true pride the owners of Gators have for the love of sports!

That's right, lets not forget about the original owners of Gators that have lived and owned property right here in John's Pass for decades! The Rice family started Gators back in the 80's but the family has owned the property since the early 50's operating John's Pass Seafood. They are well versed in tourism and fishing in John's Pass and love being able to bring that all to life within Gators to both locals and tourist that visit the St. Petersburg area.
"King Gator" is a trademark at Gators Café and Saloon. With a personal relationship with past and present University of Florida Gators Coaches, you never know who you will run into there! The annual Gators Coach Party is often hosted right here at Gators in John's Pass along with many other football events. Gators is the largest bar and restaurant for the UF Gators in the country! Come enjoy the great waterfront views along with all the memories King Gator has experienced over the years!

At Fish Famous John's Pass, Gators is the host of the annual SKA sponsored Suncoast Kingfish Classic in the spring and fall. Captains meetings are held here before the tournament and the fish weigh- in is held afterward with great food for everyone! Look for even more fishing tournaments in the future!

Gators has so much to offer the community, from sponsoring many fundraising events to charity organizations they are able to serve and accommodate large groups. Contact Us to learn more about the events you have that we love to host. From weddings and receptions, rehearsal dinner, anniversaries, birthday and retirement parties, baby showers, Christmas boat parade, corporate parties, charity organizations and much more!
Thank you for learning more about historic Gators on the Pass, there is more good news to come as well! All new floating docks will be installed early next spring, bring your boat- big or small and have some fun at Gators! The Marina will also be fully operational and able to accommodate large Yachts. There will not be a problem finding parking at Gators!
