About the bar: Woody's Tavern opened in 2001 in Fort Worth, Texas. It is owned and
operated by 3 friends John Hinkle, Rich Gee and Bryan Beckman. We are
a 5,000 sq ft Sports and Music Venue. We have a great Music Venue and
have live music Friday and Saturday nights. Some of the best artists
in Texas and Oklahoma have performed here: Eli and Young, Jason
Boland, Wade Bowen, Randy Rogers, Stoney LaRue, Micky and the
Motorcars, Tommy Alverson, and Bonnie Bishop just to name a few. We
also host national acts on their way through and local artists on
their way up! We Have 5 high definition projectors on 13 foot screens
that are visible from anywhere in the bar. We also have over 50 HD
tv's throughout, so every game is on. Fort Worth is a big city that
has all of the things that you love about a small town, but part of
the bigger DFW metroplex. We always have a great turnout for all of
our local teams: Texas Rangers (World Series 2010), Dallas Mavericks
(NBA Champs) TCU football (Rose Bowl 2011), Dallas Cowboys, Texas
Longhorns, and the USA Soccer Teams. We have a diverse clientele that
comes from all over the USA and abroad, and they Love to come to
Woody's because they know they can see their game! Woody's has been
the home to The Fort Worth Steelers Fans Club for the last 10 years.
They have great fans and we Loved being the host city for their
Superbowl 2011. Great fans from Pittsburgh and all over the USA
visited Woody's to meet the "real Yinzers" that meet up and watch
the games at Woody's as well as our resident Packer and Cowboy fans!
One of our regular Packer fans even ended up sending steaks to a group
of Steelers fans after talking with them the Saturday before the
Superbowl. That's just the kind of place Woody's is! We have several
charities that we support every year, but we do a lot in particular
with Susan G. Komen and the Komen 3Day. Our regulars are awesome and
always ready to help, be it a round of golf at our annual Woody's Cup
for Komen 3Day or buying beads and eating Jambalaya and Red Beans
during our Mardi Gras Party for Komen. We also have the coldest beer
and some of the friendliest regulars in the country, anybody that
stops by feels right at home. Whether the conversation is about
sports, music, history, or the stock market our regulars always have
the answers. On Saturdays, fans from all over the country flock to
Woody's to watch college football. It's a little wild to see fans
from rival schools sitting right next to each other, having a great
time watching their teams compete. Whether their team is right down
the street, or 1,000's of miles away, they call Woody's home! So stop
by, but plan to stay for a while...having a cold pint with friends new
and old will have you asking for "one more"!

ribbet's nomination: Woody's Tavern in fort worth is the best sports in America they have 7 projectors and on saturdays they have a different game on every one! My favorite memory of Woody's. When the USA was in the world cup one of the morning games when Donovan scored that goal we went crazy there was about 100 people there at 9 in the morning yelling USA USA USA I have never heard a bar go that crazy!!!!! The owner Bryan Beckham is a huge soccer fan so there's always a premier league game going on. As for food they don't have a menu but a guy name John always cooks some really good food and brings it up there for the customer's there is plenty of food places around and they have numbers to all the different places you can bring food in.

It's in Fort Worth but its where the Pittsburgh fans watch the game anywhere between 20-50 towel heads fill woody's every sunday they also had a lot of boadcasting here during the superbowl week acouple of TV stations for pittsburgh. (makes for a fun sunday afternoon when the cowboys and steelers play at the same time!) All in all woody's is a great place to watch any sporting event a friendly place and they also have live music on friday and saturday night. Some of the biggest names In the Texas Country artist have come threw the doors, Randy Rogers, Deryl Dodd, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Eli Young band, so if your ever in Fort Worth stop by woody's for a cold beer and sports and live music!
