About the bar (from official website) : The Mucky Duck is a new concept fom Harder concepts (Ringo's Pub and Zen Bar). The owners and Brothers Brian Harder and Jerry Elliott were frequent visitors to the Mucky Duck and Prestonwood mall, which were both landmarks if you grew up in the north Dallas burbs. As much as we wanted to bring back Prestonwood mall and Tilt, we just didn't have the resources to do it. So we decided to bring you The Mucky Duck bar, a family owned neighborhood hangout with a great craft beer selection, full bar and delicious food. Don't forget to check out our year around covered patio with two H.D. flatscreen t.v.'s and a great view of Addison circle's fireplace courtyard. We can't wait to meet you and play darts, watch the game (11 H.D. flatscreens), eat some fish and chips or just sit back and relax with a great beer at The brand new Mucky Duck Bar.

dyce1809's nomination: I'd like to nominate the bar "Mucky Duck" in Addison, TX a bar district just outside of Dallas. Formerly known as Zen bar, but changed named under the same owners, in folklore due to the rivalry between the hometown Mark Cuban and Phil Jackson. I'm nominating this bar because watching a game here is as close to watching a game in the stadium as one can get. Mavs games, Cowboys games, Rangers games, the entire bar has on the matching attire. I remember being there in 2006 watching the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Mavericks in game 7. The silence in such a crowded bar added to the tension which was palpable. Dirk gets fouled by Manu Ginobli and the crowd goes silent as Dirk lines up to take the free throw. As he hits the shot and the Mavs win and the clock ticks to zero the bar changes the sound of the game to Nelly's song "#1" over the PA and out if nowhere a replica Larry O'Brien trophy begins to crowd surf over the patrons as cheers are shared, high 5s exchanged, kisses, hugs and just the most excited crowd you have ever seen. Another such occasion similar to this was when the Buffalo Bills and Cowboys game, when Tony Romo led that incredible comeback with a game winning field goal, twice. The silence and tension is derived from the patrons of this bar which makes watching away games at your local bar, feel like you're watching the game there and actually willing and cheering your team to victory.
