The Chicago Blackhawks signed Kyle Beach, the bruising winger they drafted with their first pick and the 11th overall in 2008, to a three-year deal. Beach played with the Rockford Ice Hogs in the AHL, accumulating 15 penalty minutes in two regular-season games. He also played in one playoff game with Rockford. Beach also played with the Western Hockey League's Everett Silvertips and Lethbridge Hurricanes, amassing 63 points -- including 24 goals -- in 54 regular-season games.
