Vanderbilt offers Bourbon

Vanderbilt has jumped in with an offer for running back Brandon Bourbon (Potisi, Mo./Potisi). The 6-foot-2, 206-pounder has been a star at multiple combines this spring and is an excellent football player, so he's quite a find for the Commodores.

Most recently, Bourbon ran a 4.48 40-yard dash and a 4.03 shuttle at the Atlanta Under Armour combine. He also stood out at the Under Armour combines in Indianapolis and Chicago.

Bourbon has an offer from Missouri as an athlete, but wants to play running back in college.

First offer

Wide receiver Michael Bennett (Alpharetta, Ga./Alpharetta) picked up his first scholarship offer earlier in the week when Southern Mississippi jumped in.

New interest for Thomas

Tennessee and Rutgers are among the schools that are now showing interest in defensive back Jerome Thomas (Miami, Fla./Northwestern). Florida Atlantic also has been checking on the Miami NFTC star.
