Game plan for May 2

Marlins at Cubs

Where/when: Wrigley Field, 12:05

Starters: Anibal Sanchez (1-2, 4.12 ERA) vs. Ted Lilly (2-2, 3.80 ERA)

What's happening: Lou Piniella believes his team may be able to get going again after yesterday's offensive explosion. The only person who didn't hit (besides Aaron Miles, who hasn't hit all season) was Alfonso Soriano. He is in the middle of a 0-for-12 slump.

Keep an eye on: Ronny Paulino. He is 6-for-10 in his career against Lilly with a home run and three RBIs. Also of note, Lilly is 0-4 in his career against the Marlins.

White Sox at Rangers

Where/when: Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, 7:05

Starters: Jose Contreras (0-3, 6.75 ERA) vs. Brandon McCarthy (2-0, 5.32 ERA)

What's happening: Chris Getz continues to play well. The Sox's second baseman had the game-winning triple last night and is now hitting .346. Scott Podsednik also made his first game back with the big club a good one by going 2-for-4 and scoring the winning run.

Keep an eye on: McCarthy. He's never faced his former team, but you know that this game means a little more to him. I'm sure there is a part of him that thinks the Sox gave up on him too early.
