Lions reach agreement with offensive lineman Loper

ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- The Detroit Lions have agreed to contract terms with free-agent offensive lineman Daniel Loper.

Lions spokesman Bill Keenist says the contract is for one year, but declined to give details Saturday.

The 6-foot-6, 320-pound Loper played in 40 games for Tennessee after the Titans drafted him in 2005 out of Texas Tech. In Detroit, he will rejoin former Tennessee defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz, who is now the Lions' head coach.
