Jets release Brandon Moore

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- The New York Jets released Brandon Moore, a starter at guard for the past five seasons.

Moore became a starter at left guard late in 2003 and started 73 straight games at right guard after missing three games in 2004 to injury.

The release on Thursdy, designed to help give the team salary cap space, came a day after the team agreed to release starting wide receiver Laveranues Coles.

The Jets also cut running back Noah Herron and defensive end Sean Conover, both signed in January.
