LONDON, Feb 21 - Chelsea marked the start of Dutch
coach Guus Hiddink's spell in charge with a 1-0 victory at Aston
Villa in the Premier League on Saturday.
Nicolas Anelka's first-half goal secured the points for the
visitors, who moved above Villa into third place in the
standings, seven points behind leaders Manchester United.
Villa, who had not been beaten in the league since November,
were largely outplayed in the first half although Ashley Young
was unlucky to hit the crossbar with a free kick.
Chelsea were content to sit deeper after the break and
although Villa had more chances they could find no way past
Chelsea keeper Petr Cech.
