Georgia St. 55, Old Dominion 54

ATLANTA -- Trae Goldston hit a 3-pointer with 11 seconds left to lift Georgia State to a 55-54 win against Old Dominion on Saturday.

Old Dominion whittled down an 11-point halftime deficit, and the Monarchs (8-4, 1-1 Colonial Athletic Association) eventually took the lead 54-52 with 37 seconds left in the game when Kent Bazemore capped a late 9-0 run with a jumper.

That set up Goldston's eventual game-winner, and Jonathan Adams missed a 3-pointer in the game's final seconds to seal the win for the Panthers.

Georgia State (4-9, 2-0) was led by Xavier Hansbro and Joe Dukes, who each scored 11.

Old Dominion got 12 points from Gerald Lee and 11 from Ben Finney.

It was the second win for Georgia State over Old Dominion, and the first since 1978.
