YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Jack Liles had 18 points and 13 rebounds to lead four players in double-digit scoring as Youngstown State beat Lock Haven 81-60 on Monday night.
The Penguins (3-8) started the second period ahead 43-31 and went on a 14-2 run to grab a 24-point lead and put the game away for good. DeAndre Mays hit one 3-pointer during the run, and Vytas Sulskis hit his third of the night.
The Bald Eagles (2-6) were ahead by one at 12:55 of the first period and kept it within two over the next 4:11. But Youngstown State outscored them 14-4, highlighted two Sulskis 3-pointers, to pull ahead 39-27 with 4:37 left in the half.
Lock Haven was led by Billy Arre's game-high 25 points, including three 3-pointers. Eric Brennan and Christian Warren added 10 points apiece.
Sulskis had 16 for the Penguins, Kelvin Bright had 15, and Mays came off the bench to score 13.
