Troy 68, Georgia St. 63

TROY, Ala. -- Travis Lee scored 12 points off the bench and Troy held on to defeat Georgia State 68-63 on Tuesday night.

The Trojans (2-3), who struggled in the second half in their first four games, got clutch free throws from Regis Huddleston and Michael Vogler in the last 19 seconds after the Panthers (2-4) cut an 11-point lead to two with 1:19 left.

Leonard Mendez scored a season-high 21 points to lead Georgia State on 8-of-12 shooting. Joe Dukes added 14 points, six assists, six rebounds and four steals, but committed seven turnovers.

Lee gave the Trojans their biggest lead of the night at 64-53 on a 3-pointer with 6 minutes on the clock. He made 4 of 5 shots from beyond the arc.

Richard Delk added 11 points for Troy.
