Miller misses Georgia Tech game with concussion

ATLANTA -- Georgia Tech point guard Moe Miller was unable to play Tuesday night against Arkansas-Pine Bluff after sustaining a concussion in the Yellow Jackets' overtime win at Mercer last weekend.

Coach Paul Hewitt moved freshman shooting guard Iman Shumpert to start in Miller's spot. Sophomore sixth man Lance Storrs, making his first career start, replaced Shumpert at No. 2 guard.

Tech's first point guard to return as starter since Jarrett Jack in 2004-05, Miller was leading the Atlantic Coast Conference with 6.5 assists per game. The sophomore was averaging 11 points per game, tied for the third on the team, and has started 21 of 31 career games.

The Yellow Jackets already are without seniors D'Andre Bell and Lewis Clinch. Bell will miss the entire season with a spinal injury. Academic difficulty will sideline Clinch until next semester.
