Fever 79, Mystics 68

WASHINGTON -- Tamika Catchings scored 15 of her game-high 26 points in the second half to help the Indiana Fever rally for a 79-68 victory over the Washington Mystics on Tuesday night.

Catchings helped the Fever rally after the Mystics took a 45-37 halftime lead. The forward scored 10 points in the third quarter, going 4-for-5 from the field. Indiana outscored Washington 25-10 in the period to take a 62-55 lead into the fourth.

Tan White and Katie Douglas each scored 19 points for Indiana.

The loss also further diminished Washington's flickering playoff hopes. The two teams are fighting for the Eastern Conference's final postseason spot, and Indiana (14-15) now holds a four-game lead over the Mystics (10-19) with just five games left.

Alana Beard scored 17 points and Nakia Sanford added 15 for Washington, which lost four straight games.
