Cricket-New Zealand win toss and bowl in weather-shortened ODI

BIRMINGHAM, England, June 18 - New Zealand won the
toss and decided to bowl in the rain-shortened second one-day
international against England at Edgbaston on Wednesday.

Match officials announced there would be 29 overs per side
after the start was delayed by more than four hours because of
rain. Play is scheduled to start at 1400 GMT.

England made one change to their line-up from the side that
won by 114 runs at Durham on Sunday, recalling all-rounder
Dimitri Mascarenhas and omitting left-arm swing bowler Ryan
Sidebottom, who was suffering from a stiff back.

New Zealand made one change, dropping out of form batsman
James Marshall and bringing in all-rounder Grant Elliott for his
one-day international debut.

The Kiwis are seeking to snap a four-match losing streak,
including defeats in the last two matches of the test series,
the Twenty20 International and then at Durham.
