By winning as many as five games just once since its 2002 Super Bowl appearance, Oakland has established a Commitment to Misery. Any game at McAfee Coliseum provides a taste of Raider Nation's frustration, from the play of the team to the place of the play. Outside the stadium: nothing. McAfee is located in a sketchy neighborhood with few postgame bars or restaurants. Inside, Raiders fans are still heated about the three-level skybox section, added in 1996, that obstructs the scenic views of Berkeley Hills. "The additional seats helped the Coliseum adapt to the growing NFL," says Chris Perales, web wizard of Just Blog Baby. "But the hallways, bathrooms and concessions stands are meant for a smaller crowd." Fans seem content with the progress of second-year head coach Lane Kiffin. But true to form, Al Davis tried to force his exit in the off-season. Would that fans could show the owner the door. Now, that's a worthwhile commitment. -Morty Ain
