PFL WEEKLY UPDATE

No one person better defines a "Hillblazer" than Sean Astin. Getty Images

It's been pretty quiet on the PFL front this week. But with Pennsylvania looming it could be a huge weekend for Teams Hillary and Barack. McCain will be laying low, hoping Schilling will make him another YouTube video with all the free time he has on the DL. Here's a brief glance at how the week went for our PFL squads.

TEAM OBAMA

Charles Barkley was on Leno Wednesday and the conversation went something like this:

JAY: A lot of people think you're a Republican.
BARKLEY: I told people I was rich like a Republican, and then they started thinking I'm a Republican. They get confused. But I am really down on the Republicans right now.
JAY: Is that right?
BARKLEY: But the Democratic party, they've got some BS with them too … You know what it's time for? It's time for a CHANGE.

Classic Charles, making a point while acting like he could care less. He went on to say this about Obama: "He's gonna be special. He's got great charisma. He's very intelligent. I'm endorsing Barack."

TEAM HILLARY

It's been a slow week for the junior senator from New York. But she did nab one new endorsement. Actor Sean Astin, better known as Rudy, mentioned his admiration for Senator Clinton during a speech at Wilkes University, he said:

"There have been 27 million votes cast so far and the difference between her and Obama is less than 1 percent. She should stay in and let the democratic process continue."

TEAM McCAIN

Mag Writer David Fleming is up in Pottsville, PA today engaging city officials about whether the Maroons should get official recognition from the NFL. Team McCain player and Arizona Cardinals owner Bill Bidwell has been instrumental in blocking recognition of the team for some time now. Read about the story here. If there's a clear victor in the debate, we'll let you know how it swings for Bill and reward/subtract points accordingly.
