ACL tear to keep FSU guard Swann out indefinitely

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Florida State guard Isaiah Swann will
be out indefinitely because of a torn anterior cruciate ligament in
his left knee.

Swann was injured in the first half of Florida State's 65-55
victory Wednesday over Miami in Coral Gables. Doctors made the
diagnosis after he had an MRI test Thursday in Tallahassee.

The 6-foot-2 senior from Germantown, Md., was averaging 11.8
points and 2.9 assists. He started in 21 of the Seminoles' 24
games.

"We feel badly for Isaiah because he is a valuable member of
our team and a great teammate," coach Leonard Hamilton said. "Our
team physician and our athletic trainer will monitor Isaiah daily
and work with him regarding his treatment and rehabilitation
process."

Swann has played in 120 consecutive games and has never missed a
game during his four-year career at Florida State. He ranks fifth
in the Atlantic Coast Conference in 3-point field goals with an
average of 2.25 per game.
