Brown's 34 points lead Lafayette to 83-58 victory over Army

EASTON, Pa. -- Andrew Brown scored a career-high 34 points
to lead Lafayette to an 83-58 victory over Army on Wednesday.

Matt Betley and Bilal Abdullah each added 10 points for
Lafayette (14-7, 5-1 Patriot League).

Doug Williams scored 19 points to lead Army (9-11, 2-4).

Lafayette opened the game with a 12-0 run over the first 6½
minutes and held an 18-8 advantage before a Williams layup brought
the Black Knights to within four points, 19-15, with 5:39 left in
the half.

But the Leopards held Army to 31 percent shooting in the half
and took a 33-21 lead at the half. Just four minutes into the
second period, Betley hit a 3-pointer that gave Lafayette a 42-25
lead. Brown's school record-tying ninth 3-pointer gave Lafayette a
60-39 lead with 9:36 remaining.

The Leopards outrebounded Army 30-23 in the game.
