HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Arizona Reid had 28 points and 14
rebounds to lead High Point to a 68-54 victory over Longwood on
Thursday night.
The Panthers (10-8) continued their stellar play at home,
winning for the eighth time in nine games at the Mills Athletic
Center.
Reid was a big reason why against Longwood (4-19). He scored
nine points as High Point closed the half with a 15-9 run to lead
32-26 at the break.
High Point kept things up in the second half, stretching the
lead to double digits as Longwood lost its seventh straight game.
The Lancers (4-19) are in their first season of full-fledged
NCAA Division I eligibility.
Eugene Harris added 13 points for High Point.
Kirk Williams led Longwood with 14 points and eight rebounds.
