Soccer-Roundup 2-Lazio's Rossi rules out resignation

LONDON, Jan 13 - Soccer news in brief from around
the world:

* Lazio boss Delio Rossi said he would not resign after
being locked in talks with club president Claudio Lotito
following the 2-1 home defeat to Genoa, which leaves the Rome

told reporters. "My position is not in discussion. I want to
stay at Lazio as it is in difficult moments that real men come
to the fore."

* Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has told
reporters there will be no new arrivals during the January
transfer window despite media reports linking the club with
Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko and Hamburg's Rafael van
der Vaart.

* Atletico Madrid midfielder Maniche will have a medical on
Monday before signing for Inter Milan, club director Gabriele
Oriali told Italia 1 television.

* Nigerian midfielder Udochukwu Nwoko has been given
permission by his Portuguese club Leixoes to travel to England

Romanian defender Laszlo Sepsi, according to local media
