Beira Mar coach Manuel Cajuda has resigned after 10 weeks in charge, the struggling Portuguese Premier League club said on Wednesday.

Beira Mar are 14th in the league after a 3-1 defeat at home to Moreirense on Sunday.

Portuguese assistant coaches Paulino Silva and Ricardo Guerra will take over while the board looks for a successor. Cajuda replaced English manager Mick Wadsworth who resigned for personal reasons after four matches.

Cajuda, who left Maritimo after the first league game of the season, is the sixth coach to leave a Portuguese side this season, including two before the campaign had even started.
