Soccer-Roundup-Anelka says Chelsea talking to Bolton about move

LONDON, Jan 3 - Soccer news in brief from around
the world:

* Chelsea are talking to Premier League rivals Bolton
Wanderers about the possible signing of Nicolas Anelka,
according to the France striker.

"The chairmen (of Bolton and Chelsea) are discussing it,"
Anelka told the French sports daily L'Equipe. "I really hope it
happens."

But Bolton manager Gary Megson said he had not heard about
any move for Anelka. "I'm not aware of Chelsea or any other club
making contact," he told Sky Sports after Wednesday's 1-0 league
win over Derby County.

* Barcelona's Brazilian playmaker Ronaldinho will not be
sold in this month's transfer window, according to sporting
director Txiki Begiristain.

"We've been saying the same thing for some time now and
nothing has changed...Ronaldinho is not for sale," Begiristain
told reporters after Wednesday's 2-2 draw with third division
Alcoyano in the King's Cup.

Brazilian utility player Edmilson turned out for Barcelona
for the first time in more than seven months when he played in
the game against Alcoyano. The 31-year-old underwent surgery
after suffering a serious knee injury at the end of last season.

* Valencia are poised to sign Boca Juniors midfielder Ever
Banega, according to Spanish media reports.

The Primera Liga side are prepared to pay up to 18 million
euros ($26.57 million) for the 19-year-old, say the reports.

* AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti says Brazilian striker
Ronaldo, who has played only one match this season because of
injury, wants to stay at the club despite interest from
Flamengo.

"He has not expressed any wish to leave Milan. The question
of a possible transfer to Flamengo has exclusively come out of
Brazil," Ancelotti told a news conference on the opening day of
Milan's mid-season training camp in Dubai.

* England midfielder Frank Lampard, who has been holding out
on signing a new contract with Chelsea, has pledged his future
to the Londoners.

"I just want to do one thing and that is stay at this club
for the rest of my career," Lampard told the London Evening
Standard.

He said he and Chelsea had agreed last year not to resume
talks until the end of the season but that if signing a new deal
"could be done tomorrow I'd be happy with that".

* French winger Laurent Robert is to have a trial with
Premier League bottom club Derby County.

"He's coming in on Friday and we'll see what condition he's
in and if he is right for us," Derby manager Paul Jewell told
Sky Sports News. Robert, formerly with Premier League Newcastle
United, has recently left Spanish club Levante.

* Palermo forward Amauri, linked in the media with AC Milan,
Juventus and Liverpool, will stay with the Sicilian team until
the end of the season.

"To be linked with great clubs gives me pride ... but in
January I will not move, I want to improve in the shirt of
Palermo. Then in June we will see," the Brazilian told Italian
media.
