PARIS, Dec 15 - Ligue 1 leaders Olympique Lyon
survived a fright in a 0-0 home draw with Nice on Saturday.

The visitors had the best chances in a lively game and
almost scored after 83 minutes when Brazilian playmaker
Ederson's free kick bounced down off the bar onto the line.

Six-times champions Lyon now have 38 points, five clear of
second-placed Nancy, who visit Racing Strasbourg on Sunday.

Lyon, who reached the last 16 of the Champions League with a
3-0 win at Rangers on Wednesday, had their chances too but were
denied by a string of great saves from 20-year-old Hugo Lloris.

"We were a bit tired after our match in Glasgow," said Lyon
goalkeeper Remy Vercoutre. "Sometimes you have to be content
with a draw."

Surprise package Nice have gone eight matches without defeat
and move a spot up to sixth, 12 points off the pace.

Struggling Paris St Germain had earlier suffered a 2-1 home
defeat by Toulouse featuring goals from Sweden forward Johan
Elmander either side of halftime.

The troubled Paris club stay fourth from bottom but could
return to the relegation zone after Saturday's later action and
are still without a home win this season.

Elmander exploited a defensive blunder to put the visitors
in front after 42 minutes before beating the offside trap to
double the advantage four minutes into the second half.

Former Portugal striker Pauleta reduced the arrears for PSG
with a penalty in added time after Colombian defender Mario
Yepes was fouled in the box.

The police authorities had brought the kickoff time forward
and implemented reinforced security measures for the game amid
fears of crowd trouble.

The PSG players left the pitch to jeers from their fans but
no serious incidents were immediately reported.

"Everything that can be done to help the club will be
considered," PSG chairman Alain Cayzac told television channel
Canal Plus, suggesting coach Paul Le Guen's job was at risk.

Toulouse climb five spots to ninth in the 20-strong table on
24 points.
