Radford snaps 3-game losing skid with win over Southern Virginia

RADFORD, Va. -- Martell McDuffy scored 21 to help Radford
snap a three-game losing skid with a 91-67 win over Southern
Virginia Wednesday night.

Kenny Thomas added 15 for the Highlanders (2-5), Joey
Lynch-Flohr added 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Amir Johnson
scored 11.

Bryce Pendleton led Southern Virginia (2-3) with 16 points.
Brett Schroeder scored 11, and J.J. Holt added 10.

Radford outrebounded Southern Virginia 50-30, outscored the
Knights 24-7 on second-chance points and 48-26 in the paint. The
Highlanders shot nearly 54 percent on the game, compared to 34
percent for Southern Virginia.

Radford continued to have problems holding onto the ball. The
Highlanders are averaging 19 turnovers per game, turned the ball
over 26 times in a loss at Campbell Saturday, and had 23 turnovers
against Southern Virginia.
