Bolstad has been competitively logging and chopping since the young age of seven. He follows in his father's footsteps, the legendary world champion, Sonny Bolstad. In his 28th year of logging sports, Bolstad will make his sixtth appearance in STIHL TIMBERSPORTS. As 2001, 2003, and 2004's Champion, he returns to the 05 Series in hopes of claiming his fourth title. Bolstad competes mostly in New Zealand and Australia, but makes it to the U.S. for eight competitions per year. When he is not defending his title, Bolstad enjoys rugby and polo Crosse.

TRAINING ROUTINE

"I constantly practice. I help to train and coach junior and senior axemen and four weeks prior to competition I practice by milling 250 tons of wood."

ACCOLADES

2001, 2003, & 2004 STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Champion, 50 Titles including his father's namesake Memorial trophy. 2003 "Sawmilling shootout" Champion, Bangor, Maine, Double New Zealand representative in Wood chopping and Polo Crosse.

OCCUPATION

Works his own forestry company, a portable sawmill.
