Vealy reinstated after suspension

TULSA, Okla. -- Forward Marchello Vealy, a key cog in Oral
Roberts' upset of Kansas last season, was reinstated to the
basketball team Monday after a suspension that lasted more than
three weeks, coach Scott Sutton said.

Vealy is expected to play Tuesday when Oral Roberts (1-2) hosts
Louisiana-Lafayette.

"When Marchello was suspended, I told him he could return to
the team when he took care of certain off-the-court
responsibilities," Sutton said in a statement. "Over the past
three weeks, Marchello has shown the commitment we were expecting.
We're happy to have him back."

Vealy hit seven 3-pointers and scored a career-high 22 points in
the Golden Eagles' 78-71 win at No. 3 Kansas last season, the
biggest upset in school history.

Vealy, a junior, averaged 7.7 points and 5.9 rebounds last
season and was named the Sixth Man of the Year in the Mid-Continent
Conference, which has since been renamed the Summit League.

He was suspended Oct. 26 and missed both of Oral Roberts'
exhibition games and its first three regular-season games.
