Athletes from Carroll, Western earn Frontier football honors

BILLINGS, Mont. -- Athletes from Carroll College and
Montana-Western received Frontier Conference football player of the
week honors from the final weekend of regular-season play.

Western quarterback Henry Keomalu was named the offensive player
of the week, Carroll's Marcus Miller earned defensive honors and
teammate Zach Thiry received special teams honors.

Keomalu, a 5-foot-9 freshman from Waianae, Hawaii, completed 35
of 52 passes for 426 yards and five touchdowns in Western's 41-21
win over Rocky Mountain.

Miller, a 5-8 senior defensive back and kicker from Spokane,
Wash., returned interceptions 69 and 33 yards for touchdowns,
kicked both extra points and the game-winning field goal --
accounting for all of Carroll's points in a 17-14 win over Montana
Tech.

Thiry, a 6-2 junior punter and kicker from Meridian, Idaho, had
nine punts for 438 yards, including a 60-yarder, as Carroll rallied
to beat Tech.
