FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) -- Jarell Brown scored 26 points to give Army a 64-49 victory Monday over Sacred Heart.
Brown hit nine-of-16 shots and grabbed six rebounds for the Black Knights (1-1).
The Black Knights led by as many as 25-points when Kenny Brewer hit two free throws with 7:05 left. He finished with 13 points and four rebounds.
Army held the Pioneers (0-2) to just 36 percent shooting from the floor.
Sacred Heart sophomore Ryan Litke scored 10 points and was the only Pioneer to reach double figures. Drew Shubik had six points, five rebounds and two assists before fouling out.
The rest of the Pioneers shot just 11-for-35. The majority of the shooting woes came from behind the 3-point arc, where the Pioneers converted on just four out of 22 attempts.
Army received seven points, four rebounds and five assists from guard Josh Miller.
