Arkansas' Monk returns from knee injury against Auburn

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Arkansas wide receiver Marcus Monk
returned Saturday night against No. 22 Auburn after missing the
first five games of the season with an injured knee -- but he hardly
played.

Monk, the Razorbacks' career leader in touchdown catches, was
injured in an August practice. Coach Houston Nutt said earlier this
week he didn't think Monk would be ready for the Auburn game, but
the 6-foot-6 senior entered the game on the Razorbacks' first
offensive series of Arkansas' 9-7 loss.

Arkansas was trying for its first Southeastern Conference win
after losing last month to Alabama and Kentucky. The Razorbacks'
passing game has struggled, in part because of injuries to Monk,
tight end Ben Cleveland and receiver Crosby Tuck.

Monk caught 50 passes for 962 yards and 11 touchdowns last
season. Arkansas coach Houston Nutt indicated after the game that
Monk is still eligible to redshirt.
