FRISCO, Texas -- The Dallas Stars put five players on
injured reserve and assigned left wing Chris Conner to the Iowa
Stars in a series of roster-trimming moves on Monday.
Stars general manager Doug Armstrong said Niklas Grossman
(shoulder), Mike Ribeiro (ankle), Aaron Gagnon (ankle), Vojtech
Polak (ankle) and Francis Wathier (shoulder) had been placed on
injured reserve.
Grossman's injury is retroactive to Sept. 22 while Ribeiro's is
retroactive to Sept. 16.
The Stars have to trim their roster by one more player to meet
the 23 roster maximum by Wednesday's regular-season opener at
Colorado.
