Raiders 13, Great Danes 11

HAMILTON, N.Y. (AP) -- Jordan Scott ran for 180 yards and scored the only touchdown of the game as Colgate beat Albany 13-11 on Saturday.

Colgate's defense was led by Mike Gallihugh's 11 tackles. The Raiders held Albany to 57 rushing yards and forced the Great Danes to attempt five field goals rather than aim for the endzone.

Jason Fralicker tied Albany's single-game record with three field goals. Mark Sheehan led Albany's defense with nine tackles, including three sacks for a loss of 22 yards.

Colgate's Cody Williams returned the opening kickoff 87 yards to set up Scott's 4-yard touchdown dash. Colgate took a 10-0 lead 3:16 into the game after Mike Buck made a 36-yard field goal. He made a 19-yard field goal early in the second half to give Colgate its final 13-11 lead.

Albany got on the board at 8:53 of the first quarter with a safety. Quarterback Vinny Esposito completed 16 of 31 passing attempts for 154 yards.
