Storm's Burse has surgery on left wrist

SEATTLE -- Seattle Storm center Janell Burse underwent
surgery today to repair damaged ligaments in her left wrist.

The team says the operation at Swedish hospital in Seattle was
successful.

Burse will have to wear a soft cast for about six weeks before
beginning rehabilitation.

Burse is in her seventh WNBA season. She started 29 games for
the Storm this year, averaging nearly nine points and more than five
rebounds per game.

Burse posted three double-doubles this year and led the team in
rebounding five times, including a career-best 19 rebounds against
Phoenix on May 23rd. That included 16 rebounds in the first half, a
WNBA record.
