Raiders release OL Treu, FB Jackson

ALAMEDA, Calif. -- The Oakland Raiders released offensive
lineman Adam Treu on Tuesday, cutting ties with the longest-tenured
player with the team.

Treu had been with the team since being selected in the third
round of the 1997 draft. His streak of 155 consecutive games played
was snapped last season when he was sidelined with a torn quad
muscle in his right leg.

He played on the offensive line, as well as serving as the
team's long snapper.

The Raiders also released fullback Tony Jackson, who was on the
practice squad last season.
