VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- The Vancouver Canucks signed
center Ryan Shannon and minor league goalie Drew MacIntyre on
Wednesday. The 5-foot-9 Shannon was a member of last season's Stanley Cup
champion Anaheim Ducks before the Canucks acquired him in a trade
during last month's NHL draft. The 24-year-old native of Darien,
Conn., split last season between the AHL and Anaheim, scoring 11
points in 53 games with the Ducks during the regular season. The 24-year-old MacIntyre spent last season with the Canucks'
AHL affiliate in Manitoba after being acquired from Detroit in an
offseason trade. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
