Soccer-Roundup-Quagliarella happy at Udinese

SINGAPORE, June 29 - Soccer news in brief from
around the world:

* Italy striker Fabio Quagliarella is happy to stay at new
club Udinese despite his agent saying Manchester United are
among a number of clubs interested in him.

The 23-year-old, who scored twice on his first start for
Italy earlier this month, played for Sampdoria last season but
was joint-owned by Udinese, who have won the race to sign him
properly.

"I am staying here," he told Gazzetta dello Sport. "This
team is competitive and young and we will do great things."

* AC Milan are interested in Real Madrid's forgotten
striker Antonio Cassano, Milan vice president Adriano Galliani
told Italian media.

* France left back Eric Abidal is set to complete his move
from Olympique Lyon to Barcelona and is scheduled to be
presented at 1130 GMT, the Primera Liga club said on Friday.

The 27-year-old, who has been capped 24 times for his
country, will undergo a medical before signing a four-year deal
Spanish media are reporting to be worth up to 15 million
euros.

* The Italian Cup final will be played as one match next
season on May 24 rather than the usual two-leg affair while the
Serie A season starts on Aug. 26 following much debate, the
league said in a statement.
