Report: Texans close to acquiring WR Moulds from Bills

HOUSTON - Eric Moulds has arrived in Houston for a
physical. It appears that's where he'll stay.

The Houston Chronicle is reporting that the Texans are on the
verge of acquiring the three-time Pro Bowl receiver from the
Buffalo Bills for a draft pick.

However, the teams have not agreed on whether the pick will be
in the fourth or fifth round of this month's draft, according
to the newspaper.

Moulds, who turns 33 in July, has two years left on his contract
with the Bills. But after Moulds refused to restructure his
base salary of $7.1 million in 2006, Buffalo was forced to seek
a trade or release him.

Last week, the Texans tentatively agreed to terms with Mould on
a four-year contract worth $14 million, including a $5 million
signing bonus, contingent on a trade being worked out with
Buffalo.

A first-round pick in 1996, Moulds spent his first 10 years with
the Bills and has 675 career receptions for 9,096 yards and 48
touchdowns.

Last season, Moulds caught 81 passes for 816 yards and four
scores.

In Houston, Moulds would likely start opposite Andre Johnson.

The Texans own the No. 1 overall pick in the draft and will
likely select Southern California running back Reggie Bush.
