Andrew Trimble scored two tries as Ulster secured a 21-14 win at Treviso in the Guinness PRO14.
Ireland wing Trimble crossed the whitewash twice before the break as the visitors built a 14-0 lead at half time.
Ulster extended their advantage with a third try, from Jacob Stockdale, just after the hour mark but a fourth bonus-point score ultimately proved elusive.
And their hosts rallied in the final 15 minutes, touching down twice -- through Federico Ruzza and Ian McKinley -- to secure a point in defeat.
