Cardiff Blues made it two wins from two in the European Challenge Cup following a 27-12 success over French side Pau.
Cory Allen scored a brace of tries while Steven Shingler kicked 12 points to help the Blues on their way to an emotional victory at Cardiff Arms Park.
The 6,916-strong crowd observed a minute's silence for the 50th anniversary of the Aberfan disaster and in honour of the passing of Munster head coach Anthony Foley last weekend.
But the silence soon changed to cheers as United States international Blaine Scully put the hosts ahead within three minutes when he touched down in the corner following a great break from Allen, with Shingler converting.
The fly-half extended their advantage to 10-0 with a penalty before the visitors hit back with a try from captain Daniel Ramsay. Shingler added another penalty to put Cardiff 13-5 up at the break.
Allen got on the scoreboard 10 minutes into the second half before the centre notched his second with just under a quarter of the game remaining for the hosts to push for a bonus-point victory.
But Pau secured a consolation through Pierre Dupouy with the final play of the match, converted by Thierry Lacrampe, for a more respectable scoreline.
