Jets' Jacob Trouba will have hearing Monday after head shot on Senators' Mark Stone

Winnipeg Jets defenseman Jacob Trouba has a hearing scheduled for Monday afternoon to determine whether he will be disciplined for an illegal check to the head that injured Ottawa Senators forward Mark Stone on Sunday.

The Senators lost the game 3-2, but more importantly lost three players to injury. In addition to Stone, who took a Trouba elbow to the head that left him sprawled on the ice in the third period, the Senators saw forwards Mike Hoffman and Tommy Wingels leave the game with undisclosed injuries.

"At some point it felt like there was nobody on the bench, but a lot of character on our bench and our guys played to the end," said Senators coach Guy Boucher, who was already without forward Bobby Ryan because of a finger injury. "I thought we deserved a much, much better fate.

"It doesn't look good. We have to wait until tomorrow to be clear and precise, but right now we could be losing quite a few guys."
