Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Michael Del Zotto is expected to be out four to five weeks with a lower-body injury, general manager Ron Hextall said Friday.
Multiple media reports say Del Zotto injured his left knee during a preseason victory over the New York Rangers on Thursday.
The 26-year-old Del Zotto's 2015-16 season ended in February after he had surgery for ligament damage in his left wrist. He had four goals and nine assists in 52 games, while leading the Flyers with an average ice time of 23:24 a game.
