Le'Veon Bell agrees to attend prom after losing Twitter bet

Pittsburgh Steelers

Le'Veon Bell is seven years removed from his time as a high school senior in Ohio, but the Pittsburgh Steelers' star running back may soon be attending prom all over again.

On Saturday, a young Steelers fan named Ava Tarantino sent a message to Bell on Twitter suggesting that he come to her dance if the social media request garnered 500 retweets. Not only did Bell see the proposition, he responded to Tarantino by raising the stakes to 600 retweets.

As the retweets started mounting, Kapri Bibbs of the Denver Broncos offered some advice to his fellow running back. Sure enough, it took less than five hours for Twitter users to help Tarantino easily surpass the goal of 600 retweets. Bell, meanwhile, stayed true to his word.

Although it remains to be seen how Bell's girlfriend, Mercedes Dollson, feels about the date, a bigger concern for Bell might be whether or not he'll be able to keep up with Tarantino on the dance floor.

Realistically, chances are Bell won't have many issues moving his feet. After all, the two-time Pro Bowler rushed for 1,268 yards and seven touchdowns last season for Pittsburgh.
