Though the NFL normally cracks down on players wearing custom footwear, this week will be an exception.
As part of the #MyCauseMyCleats social campaign, hundreds of players will don personalized cleats supporting charity foundations of their choice. Uni Watch's Paul Lukas took a look at some of the most interesting designs, including that of Washington Redskins tight end Vernon Davis.
Davis' cleats feature splashes of paint and graffiti of all colors as a nod to his personal foundation, which promotes art education and appreciation among disadvantaged youth. Davis started the foundation because of his own experience as a closeted artist during his childhood.

Among other Redskins with custom cleats are quarterback Kirk Cousins and outside linebacker Ryan Kerrigan:

This is the first year of the #MyCauseMyCleats campaign, but with so many players embracing the opportunity, it wouldn't be a surprise to see it become an annual staple.
