Malik Jackson, Jalen Ramsey ejected in Jaguars' lopsided loss

NFL, Jacksonville Jaguars

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jaguars defensive tackle Malik Jackson was ejected from the team's game against Oakland early in the fourth quarter after being penalized twice for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey also was ejected from the game late in the fourth quarter after getting into a fight with Oakland receiver Johnny Holton, who was also ejected.

"We lost our poise. I think we became frustrated," Jaguars coach Gus Bradley said following his team's 33-16 loss to the Raiders.

"Things didn't go exactly how we had planned, and some things took place on the field. You've got to keep your poise. You've got to keep your composure and we lost our poise, and it ended up affecting us."

Neither Jackson nor Ramsey were in the locker room when the media was allowed in to talk with players.

Jackson was penalized for roughing the passer when he hit Raiders quarterback Derek Carr late on a third-and-10 play from the Oakland 28-yard line. Jackson protested the call and was penalized for using abusive language toward an official. Those 30 yards in penalties moved the ball to the Jacksonville 42-yard line.

Four plays later, Jackson was penalized for unnecessary roughness after Sebastian Janikowski's 52-yard field goal. Replays showed Jackson shoving an offensive lineman after the play.

The Jaguars signed Jackson to a six-year, $86.1 million contract in March.
