Place-kicking one of three areas unbeaten Vikings can improve upon

NFL, Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings are the NFL's only unbeaten team and yet they still rank second in ESPN's Week 7 NFL Power Rankings.

Their ranking indicates that even though the Purple and Gold have been dominant so far this season, they still need to step up their performance to another level before they can be perceived as the league's No. 1 team.

What areas can they improve in to make this happen? There are three that come to mind. Let's take a closer look:

Run blocking

The issue: The Vikings rank last in the league in rushing yards per game (70.6). Losing running back Adrian Peterson to an early-season injury was definitely a contributing factor to this issue, yet the reality of the situation is Minnesota's terrible run blocking has more to do with their poor rushing numbers than anything else.
