Cowboys' Dez Bryant 'extremely happy' to return, eyes Eagles game

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- If Dez Bryant had his way, he would have played Sunday against the Green Bay Packers.

When the Dallas Cowboys return after their bye to play the Philadelphia Eagles on Oct. 30 at AT&T Stadium, Bryant said there will be no more waiting.

He will play.

"Check me out at 7:30, man," Bryant said, alluding to the Central time kickoff against the Eagles. "I already told (team physician Dr. Dan Cooper) what the deal was."

Bryant has missed three straight games with a tibial plateau fracture in his right leg that was suffered on Sept. 25 against the Chicago Bears. Bryant went through three limited practices leading up to the Green Bay game and had an extensive pregame warm-up Sunday.

"I already knew that it was a big chance I wasn't going to play," Bryant said. "For the record, it wasn't my decision, because I was ready to roll."

The Cowboys will practice just once during the bye week, and it will be an abbreviated session. They will return to practice Oct. 24.

"It's going to be extremely great," Bryant said of the extra week to get healthier. "I'm extremely happy, but at the same time this moment ain't about me right now. It's about this win that we just got. Extremely happy, but yeah, I'm going to be ready to roll Sunday night."
