Miami Dolphins rookie offensive lineman Laremy Tunsil was inactive Sunday due to an ankle injury that occurred when Tunsil slipped while getting out of the shower, coach Adam Gase confirmed Monday.

Tunsil's ankle swelled up badly enough to hold the rookie out of the team's 30-17 loss to the Tennessee Titans.

Tunsil started the first four games for the Dolphins this season -- three at left guard and then Week 4 at left tackle when Branden Albert missed the game because of an ankle injury.

Albert, who has been battling an illness this week, also was inactive Sunday. Billy Turner started at left tackle with both Albert and Tunsil out. Dallas Thomas started at left guard.

The Dolphins' offensive line got center Mike Pouncey back Sunday, however. The three-time Pro Bowl selection made his 2016 debut after missing the first four games recovering from his third hip injury since 2014.

Running back Arian Foster, meanwhile, was inactive for the third straight game because of a hamstring injury. Jay Ajayi started for the Dolphins at running back Sunday and ran for 42 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.
