Source: Jamaal Charles to make season debut vs. Steelers

NFL, Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers

Kansas City Chiefs star running back Jamaal Charles, who is recovering from a torn ACL suffered less than a year ago, will make his season debut Sunday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Charles officially was listed as questionable on Friday after missing Kansas City's first three games this season. He was a limited participant in each of the Chiefs' three practices this week.

Charles suffered the injury on Oct. 11 against the Chicago Bears. He returned to practice more than a month ago but has yet to regain the full-time feature back role he had before the injury.

Spencer Ware has started Kansas City's first three games, rushing for 202 yards and one touchdown.

Running back Charcandrick West, who also has seen significant playing during Charles' absence, has been ruled out for Sunday's game with an ankle injury.
