Lions LB DeAndre Levy out vs. Packers with quad injury

DeAndre Levy will officially miss Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers with a quad injury, the second straight game he has had to sit out.

The linebacker has not practiced since playing every snap in the season opener against Indianapolis. He missed last week's game against Tennessee.

Levy also missed most of the 2015 season with a hip injury, playing only one half of a game in Week 5.

Detroit also ruled out cornerback Adairius Barnes and linebacker Antwione Williams (hamstring) on Saturday. The franchise had ruled star defensive end Ezekiel Ansah out on Friday.

With Levy and Williams out, the Lions have three healthy linebackers on the 53-man roster: Starting middle linebacker Tahir Whitehead, Kyle Van Noy and Thurston Armbrister. Van Noy is officially listed as questionable with a calf injury but is expected to play.
