BOSTON -- Patriots quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is listed as doubtful heading into Thursday night's game against the Houston Texans.
Garoppolo was again a limited participant in practice Wednesday as he continues to recover from the right shoulder injury he sustained late the first half of New England's win over the Dolphins last week. The third-year quarterback sat out practice Monday, but returned to the field on Tuesday.
The Patriots have yet to add another quarterback to the roster, increasing the possibility that rookie Jacoby Brissett will make his first career start against Houston (2-0). In that situation, receiver Julian Edelman would back up Brissett.
Tight end Rob Gronkowski (hamstring),linebacker Dont'a Hightower (knee), guard Jonathan Cooper (foot), defensive lineman Trey Flowers (shoulder), linebacker Jonathan Freeny (shoulder) and cornerback Eric Rowe (ankle) are all listed as questionable.
